A common saying is that ‘life is about times and seasons’. As Professor Anthony Akinlo’s administration ended on a high note on Friday 29th September 2023 with congratulatory messages from around the world, a new chapter has been opened as the Board of Trustees of the Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, has appointed renowned playwright and 2006 Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) Literature Prize Winner, Professor Ahmed Parker Yerima as the acting Vice-Chancellor of the 18-year-old institution.
Until his appointment, he was the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the institution and one of the foremost professors in the university who had previously served as the Provost of the College of Postgraduate Studies.
He is to hold the fort of the reins of leadership and see to the daily administration of the university until further notice.
