Redeemer’s University, Ede, has once again shown why it is the citadel of academic excellence in Nigeria as the university recently won the Overall Best Result 2023 (private universities category) at the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) ceremony which held recently in Lagos.
Reacting to the news of the award, Prof. Shadrach Akindele commended the Director, Directorate of Educational Services (DEST) headed by Dr. Oluwatoyin Oluwaniyi and her team for the quality of training given to the students of the centre which resulted in the excellent performances recorded in the examination conducted by JUPEB. He further stated that the feat is a testament to the excellent academic work being done by the centre and the dedication of the tutors and admonished Dr Oluwaniyi to keep up the good work.
In the same vein, a 200 level student in the Department of Accounting, at Redeemer’s University, Miss Joy Oyinkansola Banjoko won the overall best result in accounting with a score of 75.9 per cent. Apart from the certificate of recognition, Miss Banjoko won a monetary prize as well.
The event was attended by dignitaries and stakeholders in Nigerian higher education sector including the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede as well as key players in the sector.
