The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved four new programmes for Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State. The programmes are B.Sc. in Cyber Security, B. Sc. in Information Technology, M. Phil and Ph.D. in Biochemistry, and PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Finance.
According to the letter signed by Dr. N.B. Saliu, Director of Academic Planning, National Universities Commission, on behalf of the commission’s Executive Secretary, Professor Abubakar Rasheed, all the approved programs would take a full-time mode of delivery and be run in the main campus of the University with effect from the 2021/2022 academic session.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Anthony Akinlo, was elated to receive the news of the approval for the new programs and commended everyone that worked towards the success of the resource verifications. He added that the approval would further energize the University’s commitment to providing educational services that enhance the employability of its graduates in the competitive labour market and position the institution as a leading citadel of learning in Nigeria.
