The Department of Nursing Science, Redeemer’s University is pleased to welcome you to the world of caring science. The programme is aimed at preparing nurses with sound knowledge in science and the liberal arts as would be desirable for future professional development.
Our vision is to be a globally recognized Centre of excellence in nursing education for quality nursing practice, research and development through the use of dynamic and innovative curricula to train and produce disciplined and outstanding nurse graduates; ensure high-quality, scholarly research outputs that help nurses to be responsive to the community through their community-oriented services.
The object of belief of Redeemer’s University is to produce scientific Nursing graduate of God-fearing, creative, innovative skill, utilizing health for wealth approach to build and sustain a better Nigeria and a better world.
Standing on the belief it is the institutional hope that the produced graduates will turn Nigeria into a country of trustworthy and upright youths, truthful and honest proficient quality nurse practitioners of repute, reliable individuals, caring and compassionate in their chosen endeavor and above all build a nation of men and women of distinction, dignity and decorum.
The department is endowed with seasoned, dedicated and caring academic and supporting technical staffs who have fully adopted the latest technologies in lecture delivery rather than the traditional didactic approach.
The department has equipped laboratories for practical trainings of the students with seasoned clinical instructors. Students are exposed to adequate clinical practical trainings in the departmental laboratories and at the clinical facilities.
Students of this department are trained on courses with high practical content to enhance understanding to prepare them as competent poly-valent nurse practitioners that will use evidence- based and nursing process approaches in providing safe, acceptable, effective and affordable health services to meet the health needs of individuals, families and the community.
