Redeemer’s University 200-level students demonstrated creativity, grit and business acumen at the 2025 Entrepreneurial Exhibition held on Tuesday, 17th June 2025, as part of their ENT 212 (formerly GST 202) practical course. Guided by its core values of LIFE PIE (Loyalty, Integrity, Faithfulness, Excellence, Passion, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, Redeemer’s University continues to prepare students not just for employment but for enterprise and leadership in the real world.
While addressing the students, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Shadrach Akindele, applauded them for their impressive displays and innovative efforts, including those in the coding and programming team. Prof. Akindele, represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Aderonmu, encouraged them to continue applying their God-given talents in productive and meaningful ways.
The exhibition featured various student-made products and services developed during their hands-on entrepreneurial training. It also served as a platform for assessment and engagement with the university community.
Students like Adora Favour expressed her excitement at the new skills, such as cooking new delicacies learnt during the training, while another student, Oluwatise Owolabi, highlighted how photography and editing would help equip students who trained in that aspect to be job-ready and earn income while still in school.

Also speaking, Mr. Afolabi Ojo, a Lecturer and Coordinator of the course, stated that the entrepreneurial training is usually divided into two parts: a theoretical course taken in the first semester that introduces students to the concepts of entrepreneurship, innovation, opportunity recognition, and risk-taking, and secondly, a practical course in the second semester where students choose a vocational skill, receive training, and are assessed through three major components—training (50%), exhibition (30%), and a term paper (20%).

He further explained that students select their preferred vocation from a list before the second semester begins and are grouped accordingly. Each group is assigned both a professional trainer and a university supervisor. Trainers grade training outcomes, while the exhibition is judged by staff from various departments. The entrepreneurial program concludes with a term paper, where students defend their experience before academic supervisors.
Present at the event were the Acting Registrar, Mr. D.K.T. Akintola; the University Bursar, Mr. Samuel Momodu; Principal Librarian, Dr. Adetomiwa Basiru (representing the Acting Librarian, Dr. (Mrs.) Pauline Adeniran); Chairman, 20th Anniversary Planning Committee, Prof. Olalere Adeyemi; Dean of Natural Sciences, Prof. Uchechukwu A. Vincent; and other deans, directors, HODs, and faculty members.
