The Engineering Accreditation Committee of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has accredited all four Engineering programs of the Faculty of Engineering of the Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State.
According to the letter dated 5th March 2025 and signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Engineering Accreditation Committee of COREN, Professor Adisa Bello, FNSE, FAEng, the accreditation of Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering was as a result of the Outcome Based Education (OBE) visitation to the aforementioned undergraduate programs that took place at the university from 22nd to 24th September 2024.
He further stated that the effective date of the accreditation of these programs is 5th March 2025 and expires on 5th March 2027.
Speaking on the development, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, FFAN, FFFPS, congratulated the Faculty of Engineering and all those people who worked to ensure the success of the accreditation exercise and charged them to do more to make all the programs the best in Nigeria.
He explained that it is the utmost desire of this current university administration to have all the programs being offered by the institution meet the industry-required standards of quality, which are comparable with the best in business the world over.
He noted that under his watch the Redeemer’s University graduates will be made future-ready through add-on skills and other preparations that CASEC will put them through which definitely would enhance their market-value.
