The Governing Council of the Redeemer’s University, led by Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, during its 76th statutory meeting, has appointed Mr. Samuel Momodu, FCA, as the institution’s Bursar. Before his appointment, he was the Deputy Bursar of the university and, at one time, was the institution’s acting Bursar.
He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the prestigious University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, in 2000. He got to the zenith of his professional practice as a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in 2016. He has mentored and trained the upcoming professionals as a consummate professional in his field.
Also, he bagged a Master of Business Administration from Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu, Osun State in 2022. Mr. Momodu has also been an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria since 2000. He has been one of the industry players in the fields of Accounting and Taxation for a quarter of a century in the country. He is a foundation staff member of the Redeemer’s University and the most senior in the Bursary Department. He is a pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God and happily married with children.
While congratulating the new bursar on his appointment, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele,ffan,fffps, felicitated with him and admonished him to give his professional best towards the upliftment of the university. As soon as the news of his appointment was made known to him, Mr. Momodu thanked God and everyone who had stood by him in prayer, especially the Governing Council Chair, Vice-Chancellor, and other notable personalities who God had used to make his dream come to fruition.
