AAS Confers Her Prestigious Fellowship on IGH Director, Prof Christian Happi

As Professor Christian Happi’s works continue to gain recognition across the African continent, again, one of the foremost think-tank academies for science, the African Academy of Sciences (AAS), in acknowledgment of his impact in the fields of genomics of infectious diseases, public health, and bioinformatics, has conferred its highest fellowship on the Director of Institute of Genomics and Global Health at Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State.

Like a laser, the cutting-edge research outputs from the formerly known African Centre of Genomics of Infectious Diseases, led by Happi, have continued to reverberate the world over due to its pacesetting contributions to the field of genomics in Africa.

The African Academy of Sciences is a pan-African, apolitical, and not-for-profit organization dedicated to recognizing scientific excellence and advancing science, technology, and innovation (STI) across the continent. Her fellows are elected through a rigorous peer review process, honoring outstanding scholars for their ground-breaking research, leadership, and contributions to policy and society.

Speaking on the latest addition to Happi’s intellectual caps, the Vice-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, commended him for various exemplary contributions to his chosen fields and prayed that his efforts would continue to yield outstanding results that the world would continue to attract reward with more accolades.
