The Chairman, Public Relations Professional, Dr. Peter Oyeneye, has stated that the 4th Annual Conference of the Public Relations Professionals in Tertiary Institutions, themed “Managing Corporate Communication and Reputation in Tertiary Institutions”, was a huge success.
The conference, which was recently held at the SEAP Building, Redeemer’s University, Ede, recorded a total of 149 public relations professionals across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria. For the first time since its establishment in 2021, the conference recorded the highest numbers of registration, participation, and involvement by the participants.
The Vice-Chancellor, Redeemer’s University, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, whose birthday coincided with the day of the conference, was celebrated after the presentation of his address at the opening ceremony by all the participants. The conference brought iconic figures in PR together for fellowship, scholarship, mentoring, and partnering with colleagues from various institutions across the country and seasoned scholars in the industry also presented different conference papers.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Conference of Public Relations Professionals in Tertiary Institutions, Dr. Peter Oyeneye, FNIPR, has commended Redeemer’s University for the successful hosting of the event. He praised the University for providing a well-befitting venue and noted the warm hospitality offered by the university helmsman. He further highlighted Professor Akindele’s humble disposition, which manifested during the Institute of Genomics and Global Health facility tour led by the Vice-Chancellor.
Redeemer’s University also etched her name in gold in history as the first University that hosted all the chief spokespersons in tertiary institutions in Nigeria since the establishment of the body four years ago.
