Respite has come the way of a Foundation student of the Redeemer’s University, Ede, Mr. Ayobami Balogun, as 1st Gospel 25:35 Initiative, a Non-Governmental Organization, donated a modern motorized wheelchair to enhance and ease his movement within and outside the campus.

Speaking during the event, the founder of the NGO, Mrs. Mofoluso Olutayo-David, who is also the Bursar of the University, stated that the founding vision and mission of the NGO is built on the need to assist and empower the less privileged and those that are disadvantaged in the society to have a better standard of living.

She said that the NGO was established to inspire hope among the downtrodden in society, in order to ameliorate their suffering and uplift them out of the precarious situation in which they have found themselves. She also urged other spirited Nigerians to assist in helping the needy and other vulnerable groups of people in society to find succour through their altruistic gestures and philanthropic contributions.

The recipient, Mr. Ayobami Balogun thanked the NGO for this life-changing intervention of the motorized wheelchair and expressed his immense gratitude to God for the blessing. The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Anthony Enisan, while receiving the motorized wheelchair expressed his pleasure and profound gratitude to the NGO for this gesture and prayed for God’s continued provisions for the NGO and its members.

Others present at the presentation were Ayobami’s parents, their pastor, and other staff of the university.
