Research Administration

A University Research Centre is established to coordinate the research efforts of the University and mandated to ensure that research programmes and activities are focused, directional and result-oriented with clear prospects of multi-disciplinary derived utilitarian value in terms of showing tangible, pragmatic output of direct benefit to society

In addition to its monitoring and management activities of research units under it, the Centre of Research assist staff in writing acceptable research proposals.

 

Research Support

The university make provision of at least 5% of its income for research and development activities. 

The university also search for grants from industry as well as from local and international foundations to support major research programmes.

The university also encourage contract research between the university and industry.
